Privacy policy

Last updated:

UIC s.a.r.l ("UIC", "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and our services, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet Lebanese Law No. 81 of 2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data and to follow the principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who we are

UIC s.a.r.l is a company registered in Lebanon. You can reach us about privacy at [email protected].

2. What we collect

  • Information you send us: your name, email address, phone number, company and the content of your message when you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
  • Technical information: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) for security and to keep the site running.
  • Users of our software platforms: when we provide a platform to a customer (for example a business control panel or a messaging service), we process the personal data needed to run it, such as account details and, where relevant, customers' phone numbers and orders. The specific platform's terms and notices describe this in more detail.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not build profiles of visitors.

3. Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiries and prepare proposals (our legitimate interest, or steps you ask us to take before a contract).
  • To deliver and support the services our customers contract us for (performance of a contract).
  • To keep our website and systems secure (legitimate interest).
  • To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have agreed to it.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us operate, such as hosting, email delivery and messaging providers, under agreements that require them to protect it, and with authorities when the law requires it. Some providers may store data outside Lebanon; when they do, we choose providers that offer appropriate safeguards.

5. How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and for no longer than three years without further contact. Customer and billing records are kept for the periods required by Lebanese law. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.

6. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, access control, multi-factor authentication for staff and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to industry standards and review our measures regularly.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected]; we answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the competent authority in Lebanon.

8. Children

This website and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
